You might think that your dog will be somehow immune to the pains and stiffness that arthritis brings. That’s a human condition, right? Wrong. Dogs are often struck with this painful and degenerative disease, too. It’s not a given that your dog will develop arthritis, but there is a good chance he might, especially if he lives a long life, is a larger breed or is very overweight.
Arthritis in dogs causes the same discomfort that it does in humans. Your dog might be stiff, suffer pain or have difficulty moving, especially in the morning and after he’s been sleeping. It can be hard for your dog to live a long, healthy and active life when he’s suffering from the affects of arthritis.
